Kevin has been working so hard lately and I wanted to surprise him with a 3 hour getaway from his desk and farm work. I scheduled a helicopter tour and told him it was a surprise, but that he'd never done it before. He didn't even have a clue, but he did get the guess correct when we were about 1 minute away from pulling in the parking lot and still didn't really believe it.
We went to Blue Ridge Helicopter Tours in Blue Ridge, Georgia. The staff was wonderful and prepared us on what to expect. The pilot was great and made us feel comfortable, although, surprisingly Kevin was more nervous than I was. Neither one of us has ever been in a helicopter before. I was only thinking of the views that we would have from up there, so I was super excited. Kevin was thinking that the blade was the only thing that was keeping us in the air, which is was, but he was more about the mechanics of everything.
We had a blast and we can't wait to go back again and take a longer tour more over our current area near Hiawassee, GA.
