Oh St. Pete, I may be falling in love with you Again!

It's been a super long time since I have been down to the actual St. Pete waterfront. Since I made the short trip down for the baby shower, I thought I'd go take a look at the new pier. I have to say...I love it! I love all of the improvements to downtown couldn't get enough just walking around.

Of course today, we just played tourist and just had fun in general. But, I was so happy to see families, and strollers and bikers all using the new place. And I have to say, the new playground is the Bomb!!! If I were a kid, I'd definitely play there!

The rooftop bar, Pier Teaki, is really neat and I love the couches that they have up there. Now, if we weren't dealing with a 35 mph wind, we would have sat on those couches with full tables, but, we were trying to stay out of the wind! At night, it would be beautiful I'm sure with all of the lights from the city.

The parking is parallel and they have meters for you to feed, or you can make it easier on yourself and park in the parking lot up towards the pier and use the pay stations, pay by plate.

The food is bar bites, it is acceptable, but not 100%. The cheese flatbread tasted like someone threw-up on the pizza. The pretzel bites and cheese were good, but the cheese tasted more like Bacon cheddar, not Jalapeno cheddar. The Empenadas were really good though, not the best we've had though in our travels. The drinks were really sub par, they were very sweet and the old fashioned tasted like they topped it off with city water4, not even filtered.
